Data stored in the application
Varkuna SSH, Varkuna FTP and Varkuna Connect may store saved connections, optionally saved credentials, certificate permissions, key file paths, optional passphrase information, connection profiles and user preferences on the device. This information is not tied to a separate user account managed by the developer.
You can clear saved connections, saved passwords, certificate permissions and similar local records from the Settings or Security sections in the application. If necessary, you can also completely delete application data from the device or operating system settings.
Data deletion for Varkuna SSH
Saved SSH connections, optionally saved credentials, terminal preferences and application settings may be stored on the device in Varkuna SSH. You can delete these records from the connection/profile management and settings screens in the application.
Data deletion for Varkuna FTP
- Open the Varkuna FTP application.
- Go to the Settings page.
- Scroll down to the Security section.
- Use Clear certificate permissions to remove previously allowed certificate records.
- Use Clear saved passwords to delete saved passwords from the secure vault while keeping the servers.
- Use Clear saved servers to delete the server list and related password records.
Data deletion for Varkuna Connect
Saved connection profiles, connection preferences, local application settings, key file paths, optional passphrase information and user-selected authentication information may be stored on the device in Varkuna Connect. You can delete these records from the connection/profile management and settings screens in the application. If the relevant option is not available in the application, you can clear local records by removing the application data on your device.
Complete deletion from device settings
For Android applications, you can remove all local application data on the device by following Settings > Apps > relevant Varkuna application > Storage > Clear data. If you want to completely remove the application, you can uninstall it from your Android device.
In the Varkuna Connect desktop application, you can use the connection/profile deletion options in the application or remove the application data folder in your operating system to clear local records.
Is it necessary to send a separate request to the developer?
Varkuna SSH, Varkuna FTP and Varkuna Connect do not create a user account managed by the developer and do not store application data on a central server. Therefore, you do not need to send a separate data deletion request to delete connection records and preferences in the application; deletion can be performed from within the application, from Android settings or by removing the application data folder on desktop.
After deletion
When you clear certificate permissions, saved passwords or saved connections from the application settings, the related local records are removed from the device. When you clear application data from Android settings, remove the application data folder on desktop or uninstall the application, local Varkuna data stored on the device is removed. This does not delete remote files or server-side accounts in your SSH, Telnet, FTP, FTPS or SFTP connections.
Note
This page is prepared only for local data stored on the device by Varkuna applications. Files and user accounts on remote systems accessed through SSH, Telnet, FTP, FTPS or SFTP connections must be managed through the relevant server, hosting panel or service provider.
